Kodaikanal Lake
It is located about 500 Meters
from Kodaikanal bus Station and it is an Artificial Lake and located in an area
About 60 acres. Average depth of the Lake is 3 Meters and the Mximum depth is
11 Meter. The shore length of the lake is about 9 km. It as a Man made lake and
as built under the leadership of Sir. Henry Levenge, who as the Collector of
the Madurai, has commissioned the built of this Lake in 1983.. Kodaikanal lak
has been progressed ith a Boat Club, Boat House and Boat service to Both Public
and touristers, which as functioning Fully.

Introduction
Koadaikanal as one of the most
Famous Tourist Locationns in Tamilnadu next only to the Ooty. Kodaikanal as
located in Dindugal Districrt. It is well communicated by the Road. The nearest
city is Madurai, where an International Airport is Located. People from
northern part of Tamilnadu can use the Madurai-periyakulam-Kodaikanal Road and
reach the Hillpath. The other path of the slope connect the Palani ith
Kodaikanal and the people from Kerala access these Road to reach Kodaikanal.
Kodaikanal is located at a distance of 121 Kms from Madurai. Established in
1845, Kodaikanal name meant for Gift of the forest in Tamil and Kodaikanal is
also called as Princess of Hill Station. The Kodaikanal Lake, Bryant Park and
Coaker’s walk are the Major tourist spots in kodaikanal and there are some
other tourist spots are also located in Kodaikanal Including Suiceide Point ( Green Valley), Bagadow Piont.
